Grips

From the factory, CZ pistols come with medium-thickness grips designed to suit a wide range of hands. Many owners replace them for better control, purpose-built performance, or a new look.

Why replace grips?

1. Improved grip control

Grip thickness affects how firmly you can hold the pistol, which directly impacts recoil control. Shooters with smaller hands often choose thinner grips; those with larger hands may prefer thicker grips.

2. Different material for your use

If you carry daily (EDC) or use your pistol for defense, a lightweight grip (polymer or aluminum) is practical. For sport shooting, a heavier brass grip increases stability and gives clearer shooting feedback. See materials below.

3. Aesthetics

Grips are an easy way to personalize your CZ. Choose from multiple colors, textures, and finishes.

Long vs. short grips

This depends on whether you use a magwell. A magwell flares the magazine well for faster reloads (popular in IPSC/USPSA).

NOTE: “Compact” ≠ “short”

Compact models (CZ P-01, CZ 75 Compact, CZ Shadow 2 Compact) don’t automatically require short grips. Choose long or short based on magwell use:

What grip options do we offer?

We stock OEM CZ grips and premium aftermarket options from Toni System (Italy), Eemann Tech, and LOK Grips (USA).

By size

Standard grips fit most hands. For a tailored feel:

  • Larger hands / tighter hold: consider thicker or 3D-contoured grips (Toni System).
  • Smaller hands / concealed carry: go for thin-profile grips to reduce overall width.
  • Brands like Armanov offer thin/standard/thick widths for a precise ergonomic fit.

Can I replace the grips myself?

Yes. Swapping grips is simple with a small screwdriver or Allen key.
